Religious Education
At St Clare’s school, we pride ourselves as being a welcoming and inclusive community. We celebrate our cultural and religious diversity. We respect and honour that each person is sacred and that each member of our school is loved by God.
At St Clare's Catholic School, Religious Education is taught in a class setting and through worship and prayer.
Our community is invited to embrace our Catholic Tradition with our own life story.
Prayer and Holy days are a regular part of our spiritual development.
We also acknowledge the Liturgical cycle in planning and school celebrations.
The school has a Sacred Space where we gather as a community to acknowledge and practise the faith life we share together through Sacred Stories.
LITURGIES
Whole school liturgies are regularly celebrated in our school calendar. Each Friday, students as a level attend
Parish Mass at 9.15am and families are invited to attend.
All Holy Days are observed and liturgical seasons are followed. Special liturgies include: Beginning of School Year Mass, Grandparents’ Day, Mass of Healing and End of Year Thanksgiving.
FELLOWSHIP
This is part of our formal prayer and worship as a school. The Liturgical Cycle is followed.
Each grade plans and leads the prayer for our community. Parents are most welcomed to attend prayer.
PLAY-TIME-PRAYER TIME
A time has been devoted during recess so students can pray at our Church or School Sacred Space.
This is an open invitation for all children from Prep -6. The RE Leader and the RE TEAM lead praying in different ways such as, Intersessional prayer, a decade of the Rosary, meditation or Sacred Play.
RE TEAM

The RE TEAM assist at Fellowship and in the organisational duties of Playtime/ Prayer time or during other times that student leadership is needed. Social justice projects are also part of the role.
